WelcomeI am a Lecturer at the School of Computing Instruction (SCI) of the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I teach courses related to software engineering and do research on computer science education and interactive computing. Prior to joining SCI, I was an instructor on record at the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) at the University of Florida for graduate and undergraduate courses on human-centered computing and software development. I earned my Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing at the University of Florida, advised by Dr. Benjamin Lok. I am Colombian and a Fulbright alumnus.
My research has focused on evaluating users' perceptions and interactions with virtual humans (i.e., embodied conversational agents) designed for mental health support. I have also worked on computer science education (CS Ed) research, designing and evaluating interactive interfaces to promote programming learning. My research interests concern human-centered and social computing. This site presents my academic and professional work as a researcher and educator. Here you will find my projects, production, courses, service, and contact info. Please be welcome to my site, interact with it, and get in contact for further information. |
