My Experience Teaching in Higher Education
My teaching experience dates from 2009, when I served in Fall as an undergraduate teaching assistant (TA) for an introductory programming course at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. I served as an undergraduate and graduate TA for multiple undergraduate and graduate courses of the Department of Systems and Computing Engineering.
In January of 2016, I joined Universidad El Bosque, Colombia. I served as a Faculty member of the Software Engineering and Programming line for almost seven years. I helped in the design, instruction, and supervision of multiple undergraduate courses of the Program of Systems Engineering.
In August of 2018, I joined the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering at the University of Florida, U.S.A. I was a graduate TA for the undergraduate course CEN3031 Introduction of Software Engineering for a year. Then, I was promoted to be an instructor of record of introductory programming courses for CS and non-CS undergraduate students. From January of 2022 to August of 2023, I was responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate core courses on Human-Centered Computing.
In August of 2023, I joined the School of Computing Instruction of the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, U.S.A. I currently work a Lecturer of courses related to software engineering and do research concerning computer science education and interactive computing.
